UNSHACKLED is a Bible-based audio drama ministry.

What makes us unique?

Well, the dramas we produce are true stories – maybe even of people you know. We tell of individuals’ desperate situations, their brokenness, and the hopeless scenarios they faced…but ultimately, of the One who saved them.

How did we come to learn about these stories?

Our ministry was born in the heart of a homeless Mission, a gospel-centered rehabilitation center in downtown Chicago called Pacific Garden Mission. Here, people wander in at the end of their rope. But their souls find new meaning when they choose to trust in the One who paid the penalty for their sins. We began by telling their stories. And now we accept testimonies from all over the world!

By the grace of God, Pacific Garden Mission is still going strong and so are we. We’ve been creating our true-life audio dramas since 1950 and recording them on-site at Pacific Garden Mission every Saturday! (Go to “Visit Us” right here on this site to learn more)

After more than 70 years, we’re aired on more than 3,000 radio stations, on six continents, in fifteen languages — English, Spanish, Arabic, Romanian, Russian, Polish, Korean, Japanese, Portuguese, Greek, Macedonian, Albanian, Mandarin, Farsi, and Turkish.

But UNSHACKLED has also taken to the web, podcasting platforms, YouTube, and Smart TV channels! And to continue reaching new audiences, we’ve also introduced new programs, including UNSHACKLED Daily Devotionals, History’s Greatest Sermons, UNSHACKLED In Person, and our children’s show, the Clu Crew.
