Unity Gospel Radio SPREADING THE GOSPEL WORLDWIDE
In a landmark moment for global worship and Caribbean representation, Island Tribe Collective, the region’s premier worship movement founded by international gospel artist and Caribbean gospel pioneer Sherwin Gardner, has officially signed with Tyscot Records as the iconic label approaches its 50th anniversary.

The partnership marks a defining chapter for Caribbean gospel music, signaling unprecedented visibility for the region’s worship sound on the world stage. Island Tribe Collective unites influential voices from across the Caribbean, including Kevin Downswell, Alicia Taylor, and Trecian Smith-Bryan of Jamaica; Marc Isaacs and Alyssa Joseph of Trinidad and Tobago; John Yarde and Jaicko Lawrence of Barbados; Colyn Kristopher of The Bahamas; along with Gardner and several others. Together, they represent a vibrant tapestry of culture, faith, and musical excellence.
With their debut release “Living Proof” already gaining traction, the Collective is emerging as a fresh and authentic force in contemporary worship. Their sound blends the rhythmic heartbeat of the Caribbean with congregational worship expressions, creating music that resonates across cultures and continents.
“This moment is deeply meaningful for us,” says Sherwin Gardner. “What started as a vision to unify the Caribbean in worship is now stepping onto a global stage. Partnering with Tyscot is not just an opportunity, it’s alignment. We believe God is using this to amplify a sound that has always been here, but is now ready to be heard around the world.”
Bryant Scott, President of Tyscot Records, echoes the excitement. “Island Tribe Collective carries something special. There is authenticity, excellence, and a clear sense of purpose in what they are building. We are honored to partner with them and help take this music to a wider audience.”
As new music, live recordings, and international collaborations begin to unfold, the partnership signals a new era not only for Island Tribe Collective, but for Caribbean worship as a whole — elevating a regional sound that has long influenced gospel music yet has never been spotlighted at this scale.
