Ron Kenoly, born December 6, 1944, in Coffeyville, Kansas, rose to international prominence as one of the most transformative figures in modern worship music. His energetic, choir-driven praise style and Scripture-rich songs helped redefine congregational worship across continents, influencing churches throughout Africa, Europe, Asia, the Caribbean, and the Americas.

Kenoly’s breakthrough came with the 1992 live album Lift Him Up, which became one of the fastest‑selling worship albums of its time and cemented his place as a global worship leader. His catalog includes enduring classics such as “Ancient of Days,” “Majesty,” “Jesus Is Alive,” “Righteousness, Peace & Joy,” and “Sing Out.” These songs remain staples in worship services worldwide.

A Life of Ministry and Leadership

Beyond his music, Kenoly served faithfully as a pastor and worship leader at Jubilee Christian Center in San Jose, California, where he mentored worship teams and helped shape the next generation of psalmists.
